I'm trying to print a document from a library computer, but it's not sending the print job to the printer and nothing is printing. What do I do?

Answer

First, check that the print job is being sent to a Toshiba Swipe printer. Confirm this in the drop-down menu under Printer. In the example below, the Word document won't print out because Microsoft Print to PDF is selected. Activate the second option.

Second, especially if you are trying to print a multi-page PowerPoint document, give the print server time to render the job after you click PRINT. It could take up to a minute to process and the worst response is to hit PRINT again. That activates a second rendering which will slow the system and clog the print cue.

Thirdly, make sure that you are signed into the student PC under your account name. If you sat down at a computer that was already logged in, you'll be trying to print from another student's account, which you can't do. Your MSMC ID must match the computer login when you swipe at the printer.

If you have further problems, see someone at either the library information or checkout desks.
