How many study rooms does Kaplan Library have?

Answer

The library has seven study rooms of differing sizes and configurations:

  • DC 132 (1st floor, in the Curriculum Materials Center)
  • DC 207 (North Wing, 2nd floor, near the checkout desk)
  • DC 214, 215, 216 and 217 (South Wing, 2nd floor, across from the computer lab)
  • DC 218 (South Wing, 2nd floor) when no event is scheduled, it can be used for quiet study

The rooms are equipped with various types of technology, suited to collaboration, projection, and presentation practice.

Only current MSMC students may reserve these rooms. See the attached Word document below for instructions on how to reserve a study room.

While our study rooms are intended primarily for the use of students, the library will work with administrators, faculty, and staff to accommodate other needs as well. Any MSMC employee wishing to reserve a library study room should contact Maria Soltis, Library Administrative Assistant, by email at lib-roomreservation@msmc.edu or at 845-569-3602 for assistance.

Members of the community who want to use library spaces should email events@msmc.edu or call 845-569-3340.
