I'm a faculty member and I want to put library items on course reserve. What is the process?

Answer

Through traditional course reserves, faculty may house physical items in the library for student use. These items will be arranged behind the library's second-floor checkout desk and shelved per course number.

Simply fill out and submit the Course Reserves Request Form available online or at the library checkout desk. A separate form must be completed for each course. If titles are owned by the Kaplan Library, they will be retrieved and put on the reserve shelf. You can provide personal materials to the library for reserve, but be aware that a barcode sticker will be attached to the back inside cover (if it's a book) so the items can be catalogued and checked out via the library’s online system.

For materials the library does not own, we will attempt to find electronic equivalents which are more easily accessible in either eBook form or, in the case of videos, online streaming platforms. We will try to find a physical copy if no electronic version is found.

For help with acquiring electronic versions of sources or embedding links into eClass, contact the library liaisons for your subject area.
